Check out “Dr. E’s Energy Lab” from the U.S. Department of Energy–there is all sorts of fun information about kinds of energy (solar, wind, geothermal, etc.).
Anyone over 30 will have fond memories of SchoolHouse Rock and may actually be able to sing along with some of the songs.
This Virtual Cave would be great to include in the instructions for the 1st grade cave project.

Assignment 5 create a bloglines acct.

Okay…the biggest problem I had was figuring out that I was trying to create a new account but I was actually on the “Sign In to an existing account” page. Once I got the account created, I was able to search for feeds on GoogleNews and directly on the bloglines page.
Pretty cool.
